How I Started My Private Practice
Let me take you back to when I was 26 years old and decided to start my private practice.
Guess what my guiding resource was?
An ASHA binder. Yup, that’s it.
No mentors, no roadmaps, no step-by-step guides. Just me, that binder, and a whole lot of figuring it out as I went. š
I spent the next 11 years learning from trial and error, making mistakes, and piecing together what it really takes to run a private practice.
Looking back, I wish so much that I had something (or someone) to guide me, save me from those endless mistakes, and help me streamline my process from day one.
And you know what? That resource exists now.
If you’re dreaming of building your private practice, you’ve got to check out my good friend Jena Castro Casbon and her Start Your Private Practice Program.
Jena has helped thousands of SLPs (and OTs) build their dream private practices. She’s seen it ALL.
I would have done anything to have a program like Jena’s when I was starting out. It would’ve saved me time, money, and a whole lot of head-scratching moments.
When I started my private practice, I went all in. I basically jumped straight into the deep end of the pool.
But the great thing about private practice is that there is more than one way to build your dream.
And if you are more of a dip your toes in the pool kinda person, Jena can help you do that too.
She will give you all the tools, life vests, and floaties along the way so that you can start your private practice on your terms.
So if you are an SLP and you are looking for more fulfillment, flexibility, or even financial freedom, make sure you check out the Start Your Private Practice Program.
I cannot recommend this program enough. Seriously, this is the thing I wish I had when I was starting out!
And if you want even tips and insights, check out this episode of my live show where I got to sit down with Jena and we talked about everything you need to know about starting your own dream business.
